We have come into a land that already had grapes and fruit in abundance. We drink from wells that we did not dig. We inherited a good land. The Lord fought for us. It is a land won for us by our Joshua, Jesus. He did it for us as a free gift of grace. We do not boast in anything we have. If it were not for Him, we would still be slaves of sin, living without Exodus. He brought us out and brought us to Himself. We live in the Promised Land of Grace!
“So I gave you a land on which you did not toil and cities you did not build; and you live in them and eat from vineyards and olive groves that you did not plant. Now fear the LORD and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your forefathers worshiped beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:13-14 (NIV)
