Jesus had set His mind and His face to go to Jerusalem, to face the cross and to save the world.  When the disciples saw His body language they were afraid.  They began to lag behind Him.  Blinded by their own desire for chief seats, they could not see what was really unfolding.  Following Jesus as His disciple does not give you the luxury of knowing what is about to unfold in your life.  We sense danger and uncertainty so we lag behind.  Let your heart catch up with Him and set your face to live out God’s plan.

“They were on their way up to Jerusalem, with Jesus leading the way, and the disciples were astonished, while those who followed were afraid. Again he took the Twelve aside and told them what was going to happen to him.” Mark 10:32 (NIV).
