“Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase” Daniel 12:4b (ESV). We live in a time of a great information explosion. It is so tremendous that it is intimidatingly overwhelming. Somehow we think that we are the wisest people who ever walked the earth. Not so! Knowledge and wisdom are not the same. Wisdom processes knowledge and arrives at truth along with proper courses of action. The wisdom of the world does not lead us to God, but the wisdom of Christ does.
“Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe.” 1 Corinthians 1:20-21 (ESV)
