If you want to know God better, walk in obedience to Him. If you want to know the will of God for your life, then live your life according to His will revealed in the teachings of Jesus. Stop trying to use God for the things that you want to receive. Learn to be with Him without asking. Make your times with Him more about worship, thanking and praising than anything else. It will surprise you what you will learn about your Father.
