“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Messiah the Lord.” (Luke 2:11). Political leaders need Jesus, the Saving Messiah, as their role model in how to govern; “the government now rest upon His shoulders” (Isaiah 9:6). Men and women govern His way or their way. To follow His ways will save them from greed and corruption to enrich themselves. To follow Him is to follow the Truth teller, “the faithful and true witness” (Revelation 3:14). They need to know that One sits above them to whom they are accountable and will give an account. He is called “King of kings and Lord of lords” (Revelation 19:16).
Lord Jesus, You are King. May submission to Your authority over our authority be our greatest joy. Amen!
