The Perpetual Kingdom
The kingdoms of men are temporary, the Kingdom of God is permanent. The governments of men are passing, the rule of God is perpetual. The song writer said, “Build your hopes on things eternal.” Do not sell your birthright for a mess of pottage; you belong to something bigger than you and your appetites. You are a child of the King, which makes you a member of His forever Kingdom. Do not allow the short run to make you miss the long run.
“There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness from then on and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will accomplish this.” Isaiah 9:7 (NASB)
