The Global
The Kingdom of God is beyond local, it is global. It is not limited to one language; it is not limited to one ethnic group. It is catholic (i.e. universal). This is why we recite, “I believe in the holy catholic church”. The first Joshua was in conquest of a land called Canaan; the second Joshua (Jesus) is in conquest of the whole world. Israel asked God for that land; the Son of God asked His Father for the ends of the earth as His possession (Psalm 2). Oh, that we would get on the same page as Jesus; it is our mission.
“And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are You to take the book and to break its seals; for You were slain, and purchased for God with Your blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth.” (Revelation 5:9-10 NASB)
