The One who was tempted knows what it is like to be tempted. He is not far away from the tempted. He is there as Example and Helper. He is there as Encourager and Overcomer. He is always near enough to bring aid. Oh, Shepherd of my soul, come to my aid when I am tempted. May I endure as you endured. May I overcome as you overcame. May I never depend on myself in these moments. Grant the grace of your Holy Spirit to help me.
