Some disciples walked away from following Jesus.  The Master asked, “Will you also go away?”  I thought to myself, “If I go away from Him, then my family and neighbors might follow me.  I will never be able to bring my friends to Christ.  The church will be injured by my departure.  I may cause a child to stumble.  The aftermath would create a broken legacy.  Besides all this,  I would betray all those before me that led me to this Man.  I will then cease to be a faithful servant, and will miss the words, “Well done.”  But most of all, How could I betray my precious Lord who did not walk away from me, but died on the cross for my rescue from sin and death.  Never!  Jesus, I choose You again!  You alone, oh Lord, have the words of life.”

“Then said Jesus unto the twelve, ‘Will ye also go away?’ Then Simon Peter answered him, ‘Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.  And we believe and are sure that You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God’.” (John 6:67-69)
