Children of God are heirs with Jesus. We are joint heirs. We enter into an inheritance with Him. What is His is ours in Him. The Kingdom is His and becomes ours. We will rule with Him (2 Timothy 2:12, (Revelation 20:4). “All things belong to you, and you belong to Christ; and Christ belongs to God” (1 Corinthians 3:22-23 NASB). We have not yet fathomed what this means. When we begin to understand, it will raise us from low living to royal participation. It will remind us that this is where true wealth and prosperity lie.
“For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received a spirit of adoption. When we cry, “Abba! Father!” it is that very Spirit bearing witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ.” Romans 8:15-17a (NRSV)
