We have come to think that Christ is the last name of Jesus. No! Christ means Messiah, anointed one, long promised descendent of David, king of the Kingdom of God (i.e. God’s Government) and Lord of the whole earth. He reigns even as we speak at the right hand of God. As Christians this must totally change our worldview. Colossians 3 tells us how we as Kingdom citizens should live in this world, given the reality of our enthroned Messiah.
“Therefore if you have been raised up with Messiah, keep seeking the things above, where Messiah is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.” Colossians 3:1-2
