The church said, “Let us make Jesus in our image. Let us tone down His clear demands. It will help us reach more people. Let us offer a Christ of comfort, and not one of suffering, self-denial and cross bearing. Let’s speak about salvation and not about Kingdom. We will make Jesus serve our politics and not talk about His core message of living under the Government of God. We will not talk about snatching souls from the kingdom of darkness, nor confronting demonic powers. That is too unsettling for them. We can offer tickets to heaven based on simple propositions without the need of radical commitment in the world now. Let us have our people get bogged down serving our institutions instead of those on the outside.” The church considered it all, and said, “It is very good!” Satan said, “Amen!”
