Jesus returned to His hometown after a preaching mission (Mark 6:1). He taught in His home synagogue. The people He grew up with could not accept Him. They said, “Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon? Are not His sisters here with us?” Mark 6:3). They were offended by Him and they rejected Him and His message. We must understand that our witness will not always be accepted by family and close friends.
