By Incarnation Jesus became one with all humanity.  He became the new Adam, the new head of a new humanity.  His vision is for an undivided humanity.  To perpetuate racial division is tantamount to not only dividing the body of Christ but to rejecting His universal mission.  We can’t think we embrace Christ without embracing His mission of one new humanity.  We are called to Christlikeness, which is holiness.  This includes being like the Universal Christ and embracing all that He embraces.  Any testimony of holiness or hope of growth in sanctification is stymied until we allow His Spirit to infuse our hearts with God’s universal love (Romans 5:5).

“For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.  And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.”  2 Corinthians 5:14-15 (NIV)
