“Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets (Matthew 7:12 NLT). It sums up the Bible. How would your life change if you truly lived by it? How would the lives of those your life touched change? What would it do in our world to banish injustice, racism, classism, consumerism, elitism and a few others we could name? What would it do to heal our families, schools, churches, play places, workplaces and neighborhoods? Might it even heal our land? Meditate on its power. Then may you and I practice it. Let us be that walking summary.
