Looking back over this past year, we have all seen things that we would classify in various ways. Good or bad. Sad or glad. Troubling or puzzling. Encouraging or discouraging. We call them good days if good things happen. We call them bad days if bad things happen. The only problem is, some things we thought were bad turned out to be good and vice versa. It may take years to know if it was good or bad. Regardless, life is a gift, and so are its problems. “On a good day, enjoy yourself; On a bad day, examine your conscience. God arranges for both kinds of days so that we won’t take anything for granted.” Ecc 7:14 (The Message)
Father, thank You for letting me live another year. I hope we got a few things done together. I hope I am maturing in such a way that pleases You, Abba. I ask that You restore me more and more to Your likeness.
