Love by nature grows and knows increase. Since the essence of holiness is love, then sanctification is that process of responding to light and grace where we love more and more. It is to discover new ways to love. It is to intentionally move ourselves in more healthy ways to affirm and embrace all the objects of God’s love. We know how broad and inclusive that is!
“And this is my prayer, that your love may overflow more and more with knowledge and full insight to help you to determine what is best, so that in the day of Christ you may be pure and blameless, having produced the harvest of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ for the glory and praise of God.” Philippians 1:9-11 (NRSV)
