Partial surrender is not surrender just as partial obedience is disobedience. In both cases it leaves us in control as lord of our life and rejects the true Lord. Surrender is the loss that is gain. It is the white flag that is victory. It is the price of true riches. It is the letting go that enables us to take hold of the best. It is divesting ourselves of the inferior so that we may possess the superior.
