When God became man, it was more than a historical event; it was a hint of a new future for mankind. When Heaven came down in Jesus, He immersed Himself in the life of earth; it was the anticipation of the final renewal of all things. Even His healing ministry anticipated a future where there is no disease. Incarnation was a piece of our future made present, heaven and earth becoming one. Incarnation promises that something has happened that will give rise to New Creation. We see it in His resurrected body, when an earthly body takes on heavenly features. All things will change, according to the promise of incarnation and resurrection. There is now a solid reason that the future has hope.
