“I shall sing to You in the presence of angels” (Septuagint translation of Psalm 138:1). This idea is also born out in Revelation 4 & 5, where the “prayers of the saints” are in bowls of incense for all of Heaven to hear. Patrick Henry Reardon reminds us that our so called “private” prayer and worship are public in the courts of Heaven (Christ In The Psalms). Our prayers are participating with all of the prayers of the heavenly creatures, including angels. When Jesus prayed in agony, “An angel from heaven appeared to Him, strengthening Him” Luke 22:43 (NASB). Your prayers and praise are fragrant to the Lord in the presence of angels.
