Work is a four letter dirty word to many persons. They think that Genesis teaches that work is a punishment for sin. Work was commanded before the fall of man. According to the Book, God worked at creation before He rested. There was thought and energy behind the words, “And let there be”. He made the amoeba one way and the amaryllis another. He thoughtfully made fish and fowl, reptiles and mammals, fruits and vegetables, grains and grasses, trees and flowers, stars and galaxies. Be like God! Work! It is one way we reflect divine likeness.
