John wrote, “Dear children, keep yourselves from idols” 1 John 5:21 (NIV). Idols are anything that turn us aside from total worship of the One true God. It is more dangerous than we know. Standing behind idols are demonic powers bent on drawing adoration and service away from the One true God. The gods of this age are robbing us of spiritual power. Be careful of the unnamed gods of our culture. Recognize them! Turn from them!
