I am His and He is mine. I am in Him and He is in me. He sought me and found me; when He found Me, I found who I was and who I was meant to be. We are social beings and to a significant degree we are the sum total of all of the people who have influenced our lives. Our identity is very integrated with all those persons who have been a part of our lives; we should recognize their contribution to us and us to them. Yet, we are most shaped by our relationship with God; we truly come to discover ourselves when He knocks at our door and we let Him in. The God of the universe wants to be near you. Let Him! It will come to define you and shape you into what your were meant to be.
“Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.” (Revelation 3:20 NLT).
