God is love. This is revealed by His actions. This is what the disciples learned about the Father from Jesus. This is who He is. It that yet us? It is what we are to become. We are to bear that DNA of the love of our Father, if we indeed derive our life from Him. “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love” 1 John 4:7-13 (NASB). The Father’s children are known by their love. The Disciples of Jesus are known by their love (John 13:35). It is what a Christian is. We have defined Christians too often by other identifying marks. When we are truly born from above, we will begin to embody love.
