The thing that guided Jesus through was His full identity with the Father. He was secure in the love of His father. He trusted His Father through His suffering, His cruel death, and all the way into a sealed grave. I can enter my suffering for my Father. I can suffer rejection if I can just have His acceptance. I can lie down in my grave knowing that He can call me forth. I can be disgraced if I have His grace! I too can be secure in my Father’s love.
“For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life so that I may take it again.” John 10:17 (NASB)
