It is sometimes hard for the low to be exalted and for the exalted to be made low. The former may misuse power and the latter may mourn its loss. For the low to become high or for the high to become low, humility must be present. For the Son to stoop lower than an angel is an example for us of real humility. Though He is now exalted to the right hand of the Father, He is still the Lamb forever made worthy.
“But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.” Hebrews 2:9 (NASB)
