It is not possible to be fully human without connection to the Creator God. We were made in the divine image and for fellowship with God. To try to achieve this without Jesus is an exercise in futility. Jesus models what it is to be human and offers redemption and atonement to get us there. Communion with God’s Son is the way to satisfy this intuitive hunger for God, and at the same time is what makes us fully human. The inhumanity of humans shows how much we need the Man Jesus.

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
6 Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.
7 Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom.
Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil.
