The adornments of the temple were much about its holiness. It was a place set apart from all others, because God dwelt there. Holiness befits His house and we are now that house. We are temples; we are places in which God Himself dwells. We are to consecrate every part of this house, so that He can make it holy by His very own Presence. “Take off your shoes”; you have become holy ground. Out of this reality live your life to Him with a sense of humble reverence and awe. Live a life of holiness because God dwells in you. Allow no unholy thing in your temple.
“Holiness befits Your house, O LORD, forevermore.” Psalm 93:5b (NASB)
