In ancient times, a king who extended his kingdom would erect an image of himself in his newly acquired territory. The people of God are the image of God in the world. We are chosen as His people to reclaim what is already His. “All the earth is mine” (see Exodus 19:3-6). He is reclaiming creation by those who bear the image of His Son even now. Represent Him well! Have you taken back any territory for your King lately?
