Israel’s capital Samaria was under siege by the Syrians (2 Kings 7).  People in the city were starving to death.  Four lepers outside the city wall discovered that the sieging Syrians had abandoned camp along with all their belongings and abundant food store.  At first the lepers decided to hide and hoard.  But how could they do that when their fellow countrymen were starving?  They concluded that hiding and hoarding was not right, so they told the king and in the end the whole city had an abundance of food because four outcasts decided to share as opposed to becoming wealthy.  Looks like another example of Christlikeness in the OT.

“Then they said to one another, ‘We are not doing right. This day is a day of good news. If we are silent and wait until the morning light, punishment will overtake us. Now therefore come; let us go and tell the king’s household.’” 2 Kings 7:9 (ESV)
