There is in each human being something that has the ability to recognize truth; something that we can’t deceive. Some have called it an “Incorruptible center”. I call it the heart of the heart. Its voice can be ignored, evil folks may seek to silence it. It is what makes us morally responsible; it sits in judgment of all of our decisions. I am thankful that there is something in us through which we can hear the Spirit speak; something in us that calls us to right action (righteousness) and good intent. We are marvelously made; we can have contact with the Divine! Listen to the Spirit in your inmost being; listen to the heart of the heart.
Father, I welcome Your Spirit’s voice; work in my inmost self Your great work. May it flow out to all my thoughts, words and deeds. I want to stay tuned; I want to pursue Your likeness with all my heart, soul, mind and strength. Amen.
