When Jesus asked Peter, “Do you love me?” (John 21:17), He did not do it out of His own insecurity.  It matters to Him if we love Him, because it is so important to our well being.  Love is not a touchy-feely something.  It is not a mere emotion.  It is to feed sheep and follow Him.  Love is a practice.  Love demonstrates itself by service and keeping Jesus’ commands.  He is asking us today, “Do you love me?”

“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.” John 14:15
