God loves you more than you love yourself. His love for you is better, purer, deeper and more abiding than you can know. Our love is sometimes confused and twisted toward self-gratification. His love sees our ultimate good and is by grace drawing us toward it. Love drives His grace and grace shapes us like His kind of agape love.
Father, we have not loved our neighbor as our self. We often forget that our adversaries are also made in Your image and that You love them as much as You love us. You long for them to know You, love You, and walk with You. May our attitudes be such that it helps draw them to You. May we never look down on persons who are not like us or don’t think like us. You have been gracious to us; we want to be gracious to others. Amen!
