God loves us too much to leave us alone. His Spirit is the “Hound of Heaven” always on our trail. By overtures of grace He woos us in order to win us. He knocks, but waits for us to open the door. He stands patiently in the shadows of our life even when we have pushed Him to the side. He will let us live our life without Him, but would like to be invited in. We can resist His grace, but He always hopes that our choice is not final.
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.” Revelation 3:20 (NASB)
