In our prayers for guidance we often expect a voice or a special open door. Could it be that love itself, shed abroad in our hearts by the Spirit, guides us? If I love my neighbor as myself, will not that love guide me to lift the load they carry? Will not compassion move me to meet needs as it did Jesus when He saw the multitudes? The fullness of God’s love in us is to move us to action. Love will put us on the right track for ministry; love will find a way to help. Love will not only direct our steps, it will leave a path behind for others to follow.
Father, Your great love for us draws us to love You. May our love for others direct and guide us to find ways to express it. Amen!
