God is too big to be confined to our houses of worship. Solomon reminds us in his prayer of dedication for the temple, ”But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain You, how much less this house which I have built!” 1 Kings 8:27 (NASB). Paul also reminds us, ”The God who made the world and all things in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands” Acts 17:24 (NASB). He who is Lord of heaven and earth will not be restricted to our spaces and boxes. He moves throughout the world, even among the pagans. He dwells among His people wherever they are and goes with them wherever they go. Praise Him!
