Gratitude is more than saying, “Thank You.” “Thank you” is what we say with our lips. Gratitude is what we learn to feel in our hearts. Thank you is an action. Gratitude is a state of being. It is a state of being that can only be so with constant practice. We will not achieve it by a national holiday called “Thanksgiving”, though it is a great holiday. Gratitude must be nurtured, watered and exercised to remain a part of who we are.
“I will give thanks to You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, And will glorify Your name forever.” Psalm 86:12 (NASB)
