Grace is not permission to sin.  Grace is a helping energy to enable you to overcome sin.  Grace is more than unearned favor.  It is unearned blessing extended to enable you to live victoriously.  Grace is not a license to do what you want to do; it is power to enable you to do what He wants you to do. Jude warns about the ungodly who turn grace into a license to sin (Jude 4).  The energy of grace can enable us to be “more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” (Romans 8:37 NKJV). Grace is our victory over the willful practice of sin.

“And the Law came in that the transgression might increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace might increase? May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it? (Romans 5:20–6:2 NASB).
