There is a forgotten warning in Scripture to which we need to return. “You shall not follow a crowd to do evil” Ex 23:2a (NKJV). People often go with the crowd for psychological reasons at the expense of good sense and moral judgment. Such crowds became mobs that railed against Jesus and cried out, “Crucify”. Mobs destroy the good with the bad. It takes real courage to not “go along” and more courage to stand up to them. The things that Jesus Christ taught leads us away from mobs to community.
