We often seek the company of those who reinforce our own opinions and even prejudices. We choose avenues that buttress the opinions we already hold. The prophetic word of God does not give us the luxury to do that. It will confront our comforts, challenge our ideas, and break us out to be a person of wisdom as opposed to merely a person with an opinion. The Word did not come into our lives to leave us as we are but to make us as He is.
