Mary embraced the will of God.  Submission to the will of God can be costly.  Her reputation!  The scandal!  The gossip!  In a heated moment the religious leaders said to Jesus, “We were not born of fornication” (John 8:41), they may have been casting aspersions on Jesus’ origin (reflecting on Mary as well).  The costliness to reputation cannot be compared to what God was doing in her life for the world!  God was her Defender, Protector and Provider.  Yours too!  He gives enough grace!  Embrace His will!

And Mary said, “Behold, the bondslave of the Lord; may it be done to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her. Luke 1:38 (NASB)
