It takes more time to build a cathedral than it does a shed. It takes more to build a spiritual life with God that an occasional religious experience. It takes attentive listening, prayerful soul searching, willing obedience and holy sacrifices. The Spirit teaches us how to build and be a sanctuary for His holy habitation. The splendor is not us, but the God who dwells with us. The glory of the Lord decorates and beautifies our clay temples.
“And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by men, but is choice and precious in the sight of God, you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ” 1 Peter 2:4-5.
