Rahab, the Canaanite, protected the spies and became a part of the Messianic bloodline. Uriah, the Hittite, was more faithful at one point to the cause of Israel than was David the King. Ruth, the Moabite, possessed a righteous faithfulness to Naomi that brought her a new future as well as a place in the Messianic line. God is interested in people not like us. His desire for redemption includes all. Gentiles can be “in Christ” as surely as those born of Jewish blood. God favors no nation, no province, no ethnic group. There is no partiality with Him. His love is universal; His salvation is inclusive, His embrace is full and without reservations to all who come to Him. Look down on no group or person; Jesus has come for all. My evidence for being “in Christ ” will be manifested by desire for all to be “in Christ”.
“But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household.” (Ephesians 2:13, 19 NASB)
