Our God is the God of our future. He has an outcome in mind for us. He already knows the valleys we travel. He has walked the dark places before us. He has heard all of our protests about His way of doing things. We often object to what is happening in our lives. We may fantasize about more pleasant circumstances to the detriment of our present growth. He is working in our pain. He is healing our souls. He is shaping us. He is maturing us.
