Paul said of God, “He is not far from each one of us” (Acts 17:27).  He is a God who comes close.  He wants to be near.  He is as close as our breath.  “For in him we live and move and have our being” (v. 28).  He is even nearer to those who seek Him.  He is close to those who draw near to Him (James 4:8).  Is it not amazing to you that the God of this vast universe is near and invites us to come near?  For the good of your soul, have those times that you put away all distractions to be near your Father.
