Those who have the Spirit need to receive the Spirit. We need to extend full hospitality to the God who lives within. To welcome Him! To give Him access to every room, every closet, every secret chamber in our souls! We receive Him more fully when we give Him all of us. We receive Him deeper when we have deep conversations with Him. We receive Him by self-emptying. We receive Him when we are conscious of His Presence.
Holy Spirit I welcome You into this, Your house. You have come to me from my Father. May I be open to You, never grieving You, never quenching Your warm fire, always attentive to You, and always welcoming and celebrating our precious and sacred times together. Make my heart Your home and purify me so I can be at home with You. Amen!
