“Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer” (Romans 12:2). Getting through suffering will require hope, patience and prayer. We have hope in the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. That hope should drive us to be patient when we are in the midst of suffering. The suffering will make us drop to our knees in prayer. We learn that if we are going to get through suffering we must persevere in prayer. Never give up. Never stop pouring it all out to our Father.
