“Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, ‘Do you love me?’” John 21:17 (NIV). The hard questions can hurt. They force us to face what we don’t want to face. They call on us to go further and deeper. They require that we express our love by service. Facing the questions that hurt can bring healing. The Lord who has hurt us is the One who can heal us.
