Our Gethsemane is where we face and embrace our cross.  The eternal Son left heaven committed to be fully human and to die on a cross.  Three times He told His disciples it would happen.  The cross loomed large on crucifixion eve in the garden.  Jesus in the garden sanctified Himself for the cross.  He wanted for Himself what the Father wanted.  In Gethsemane He sweated blood as He embraced the cross before He was on the cross.  Embrace yours!

And He withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and began to pray, saying, “Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done.” Luke 22:41-42 (NASB)
