We are not called to be “Lone Ranger” Christians. We are called to be a part of a community of faith. That community of faith is important to the thriving of our own faith. Those isolated from the body may become weak, lonely and even fall away. We need to take the initiative to be present with gathered believers. We also need to take the initiative to reach out to those who may not be able to come and find ways of encouraging them in their faith. “Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near” (Hebrews 10:24–25 NLT). The community of faith is way more important than we think; neglect it to the peril of your own soul.
“When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours” (Romans 1:12 NLT).
